With their talent and extreme marketability, professional surfers are some very influential people. Usually, that means they use that influence to sell boardshorts -- as well as shades, traction pads, and in Jamie Sterling's case, a reincarnated version of webbed gloves from the '80s. But sometimes our heroes use their sway for some truly admirable causes. While searching for a main clothing sponsor, tour vet and all-around good human, CJ Hobgood's been riding for a charity group for at-risk teens. The group is called TWLOHA, founded by Jamie Tworkowski, presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Check this video of TWLOHA on the North Shore this winter.
