Tanner Gudauskas

The youngster in the Gudauskas triad, Tanner's qualification process was remarkably easier than Pat's. He joined his brothers on the WQS in '08, "just to work on his seed," and obviously it paid off. Last year he surprised everyone, maybe even himself. Of course, one could make the argument that luck had something to do with it. During the O'Neill World Cup at Sunset, Gudauskas needed to make one more heat to secure a spot on tour when he miraculously he drew his two brothers. With Pat already qualified and Dane not in contention, the two paved the way through for their younger brother. "It was a gentlemen's heat," Dane would say. Luck aside, as Tanner continues to grow and develop he's going to be more and more of a threat. Some reckon he's the next Luke Egan, which is a pretty good call. (Jason Kenworthy)
