Bells Bowl

A right-hander known for wide-open faces, when Bells is breaking proper it packs considerable power, ending in the famed "Bowl" section, which jacks up before the face of the cliffs that tower over the entire venue. Surfers have been checking conditions from these cliffs since the late '40s, and the town of Torquay was at the center of the birth of the Australian surf industry. It's the home to Rip Curl, and when they set up their tents it becomes the hub of the surfing universe. (Joli)
