Taj Burrow

Burrow's fall in the seminfinal against Melling ended what was looking to be a return to his early season form, when the perennial also-ran looked to be the form of the World Tour. Four days at J-Bay left Burrow ranked second in the world, well within striking distance of Smith, who's less than 400 points ahead. It would be unfair to read too much into Burrow's gaff, since there's no way to know if he could have stopped Smith in the final, but that's part of the problem. Having lived through reigns of Slater and Irons, what if Burrow is now watching the start of Smith's? (Joli)
