Sean Holmes

There may not be anyone quite like Sean Holmes in World Tour history. The South African with some of the biggest scalps in the sport on his mantle is often credited with impressive local knowledge at J-Bay, but he lives hours from here and doesn't necessarily surf it that much more often than his competitors. That's because he also has a regular day job, cherry-picking a few events each year to show up at wreak havoc. His tally on the week? Just nine-time champ Kelly Slater and three-time champ Andy Irons. Not bad for a few days of vacation. (Joli)
