Trevor Brown, Jr./ESPN Shaun White plans to compete in Slopestyle and SuperPipe at Winter X Tignes 2012.

According to a release issued on Wednesday, Snowboarder Shaun White plans to compete at Winter X Games Tignes 2012, which will return to France for its third year from March 14 - 16. White, the defending SuperPipe gold medalist from Winter X Aspen, has not competed in the Tignes event before.

In Tignes, White will be among 150 athletes at the event, including other gold medalists from Aspen -- Mark McMorris, Jamie Anderson, Kelly Clark, David Wise, Tom Wallisch, Kaya Turski and Roz Groenewoud.
