Memorable Moment 14: Shaun's Summer Gold

By 2007, White was the most decorated Winter X athlete in history and an Olympic Champion. The only thing left for him to prove was that he could dominate a masonite pipe the same way he dominated a snow pipe, but in six Summer X tries he'd managed only one silver medal. And after crashing on his first two runs of X Games 13, that didn't look likely to change. But then PLG, Lasek, and Burnquist all fell on their final runs. They left the door open a crack, and White stormed though with his final run. "This one's going up there, right next to that other one," said an elated White afterward of the gold medal hanging around his neck. Tags: Actionsports, Skateboard
