Memorable Moment 2: Pastrana's (Near) Perfect Run

In 1999, freestyle motocross was in its infancy, Moto X was a brand new X Games event, and Travis Pastrana was only 15. Considering how far things have come, it seems impossible that Pastrana could have set a bar back then that even he has failed to clear again. But that's exactly what he did when linked a Superman with a no-handed heel click and a variety of no-handed landings en-route to the firstand onlynear-perfect Moto X score of 99. But as iconic images go, that number can't hold a candle to Pastrana's victory lap, when he launched himself straight out of the venue and into the San Francisco Bay. Tags: Actionsports, Moto X
