| Associated Press GILLIAM, La. -- Drag racer Wayne Bailey died Saturday of injuries from a crash during qualifying Friday night for the IHRA World Finals at Red River Raceway. The car Bailey was driving split in half as it went down the track and crashed into a concrete retaining wall, said Red River general manager Dave Johnson. Bailey, 47, of Leonard, Mich., was taken by helicopter to LSU Health Sciences Trauma Center in Shreveport, where he died at 1 a.m., Johnson said. | ||||||
