Judging by ESPN NFL draft analyst Todd McShay's rating of the top-10 defensive prospects for 2011 Insider, North Carolina's defensive line should be one of the best in the country next season.

McShay has tackle Marvin Austin rated as the No. 5 defensive prospect for the 2011 draft and end Robert Quinn the No. 6 prospect. Quinn, who will be a junior, had 19 tackles for loss last season, including 11 sacks. Austin had four sacks.

Two other ACC players cracked McShay's top 10.

Virginia cornerback Ras-I Dowling was No. 4 among defensive prospects, and McShay thinks Dowling is a better overall talent than Chris Cook, who went to the Minnesota Vikings last week with the 34th overall pick in the draft.

Clemson safety DeAndre McDaniel was the No. 8 defensive prospect on McShay's board for 2011. McDaniel had eight interceptions last season.
