2009 numbers: In only his second season, Harris finished 18th nationally with 1,457 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Making the case for Harris: He’s invaluable to his team, and he’s one of the top returning rushers in the country. It’s hard to keep him off this list. His rushing yardage ranked sixth-best in ACC single-season history and was the fourth-highest in school history. He also leads all active ACC players with 13 100-yard rushing games. He racked up 264 rushing yards on only 27 carries against NC State last year, the highest total for an ACC running back last year.
