Georgia Tech defensive end Robert Hall has been suspended indefinitely after an argument with his girlfriend led to a battery charge.
This is a significant hit to the Jackets' defense. Hall is projected to be one of, if not the best, defensive ends returning to a defense in transition under first-year coordinator Al Groh. He suffered a season-ending knee injury last season, though, and didn't practice this spring, so it's hard to judge where his game was at heading into summer camp.
Jason Peters might have been the MVP of the spring, which is good news for the Jackets. Georgia Tech also has true sophomore Izaan Cross, who has shown a lot of potential, but most of the depth is comprised of redshirt freshmen. And everyone is still learning the 3-4 defense.
