ACC accumulated attendance

We're always talking about who's got the best game day atmosphere, which stadiums are the best, etc., so I thought you might be interested to see how the ACC stacked up in attendance this season.

This ranking comes from the NCAA, and is based on accumulated attendance, not average. So 550,000 fans saw Clemson play in Death Valley this season, but the Tigers had an average of 78,571. Michigan, Penn State and LSU were the top three.

One thing I thought was interesting was that Miami's attendance in Dolphin Stadium slightly increased from its 2007 average in the Orange Bowl. Last year the Canes averaged 43,589. This year they averaged 46,299. Miami was also a better football team this year.

Also, keep in mind that Virginia Tech and Miami had one less home game than everyone else.
