Harris Miami's No. 1 quarterback heading into spring

Miami coach Randy Shannon told WQAM radio in Miami that Jacory Harris will be his No. 1 quarterback heading into the spring regardless of whether or not Robert Marve decides to transfer.
"If Robert chooses to leave the University of Miami, we got Jacory, we got Taylor Cook, we got Cannon Smith, so we'll be fine," Shannon told Joe Rose. "We've got enough talent on this team, we've got an experienced quarterback with Jacory, if Robert leaves, Jacory will be our guy, he'll lead the way.
Every position, we are always going to have competitors, and this is not a deal where I am going sit down and talk to Robert, and say Robert I promised you are going to start. No, I am not going to do that. I mean, right now, if the day starts, and Robert is out there, Jacory is our guy. I am not going to sit there and say he is not our guy.
Robert didn't play in the bowl game, Jacory is our guy. Jacory did everything to be our guy right now. Robert has to accept that hey, I have to be a person that is willing to do what we are doing at the University of Miami and I think he will if he wants that opportunity to do it, but if not and he wants to transfer, I will grant him his transfer."
Not that Marve needed any added incentive, but that might help his decision along.
