Scratch another one off the list. ESPN's Joe Schad says Maryland receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey is giving up his senior season to enter the NFL draft.
"I'm projected in the top two rounds," Heyward-Bey told Schad. "I think I'll run in the 4.3 range. I'm ready to bring my talents to the next level."
Heyward-Bey has three things the NFL will love -- size, speed and character. He's got a lot of upside, but still has a lot of room for development. Even when Maryland didn't throw him the ball, he helped open things up in the running game and elsewhere because defenses always had to be concerned about him. And really, much like FSU's Everette Brown, Heyward-Bey is genuinely a great guy and a personality the ACC will miss next season.
