ACC recruiting nuggets: NC State adds D-linemen
Posted by ESPN.com's Heather Dinich
NC State coach Tom O'Brien has things moving in the right direction for his third season, as four newcomers have enrolled for the spring semester, including junior college transfer defensive tackle Nathan Mageo.
The defensive line highlights the Pack's recruiting efforts today.

Raynard Randolph, DT
Brandywine, MD
Gwynn Park Senior H.S.
Scouts Grade: 79
Position Rank: 23
Raynard Randolph from Gwynn Park (Brandywine, Md.) has given a pledge to NC State.
Randolph picked the Wolfpack over Penn State, Michigan State, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse and West Virginia.
Gwynn Park coach Danny Hayes told the Washington Post, "He just came back from his visit and really loved it. They have everything that he wanted. [Assistant coach] Keith [Willis] was just a great guy. He felt very comfortable at N.C. State."
ESPN's Craig Haubert elaborated on the pledge: "It was a big weekend for N.C. State as they seemed to do some bulk shopping at the defensive tackle spot. The Wolfpack landed a pair of interior defensive line prospects and the duo is headlined by a player from the north.
"Raynard Randolph out of Maryland is a big-bodied run stuffer and could make it tough for opposing ACC offenses to run at him. He is basically a between-the-tackle defender, but he can take on blocks and get into a gap. While he will not be much of a factor on the perimeter he does play with a good motor and can make the tackle when the opportunity is there. Not much as a pass-rusher, but he can collapse the pocket some.
"Randolph is not one of the more dynamic defensive tackle prospects in this class, but he can help stuff the run which is a key to defensive success and also has some value as an offensive line prospect if the need should arise."
Deion Roberson, DT
Tucker, GA
Tucker H.S.
Scouts Grade: 77
Position Rank: 48
Defensive tackle Deion Roberson of Tucker, Ga., has decided to play for NC State. He was also recruited by Louisville, West Virginia, East Carolina, Maryland, Memphis, Duke and Michigan State.
Rated No. 48 among defensive tackles in Class of 2009, he missed most of his senior season with a dislocated ankle.
Tucker high school coach Franklin Stephens said of Roberson's decision: "There are certain schools that offered him last year in the early spring, and they stuck by him despite his injury. I think N.C. State got an outstanding player, a guy who would've been much higher in the recruiting rankings if not for the injury. He is so big and athletic, guys like him are hard to find," the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Dunkley offered by Miami, names new top five
Chris Dunkley, WR
Royal Palm Beach, FL
Royal Palm Beach H.S.
Class of 2010 ESPNU 150 Watch List wide receiver Chris Dunkley was recently extended a scholarship offer by the Hurricanes, affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com reports.
He commented on the receiver depth chart in Coral Cables, Fla.: "I've been thinking about it, and by the time I'm there all their receivers will be juniors."
Additionally, Dunkley named the five schools are currently leading for his services: "It's Florida, Florida State, West Virginia, Georgia and Miami."
