It's a special occasion. Labor Day provided us an added dose of ACC entertainment, so here's a quick special edition of the Helmet Stickers:
Maryland safety Kenny Tate: He stopped Navy quarterback Ricky Dobbs at the goal line with 34 seconds remaining, preserving the Terps' 17-14 win. Navy had the ball on fourth down at the 1-yard line, and Tate was able to get to Dobbs.
Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor: Despite the 33-30 loss, Taylor took the team on his shoulders and completed 15 of 22 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 73 yards.
Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich: Players don't usually get helmet stickers for making five tackles, but simply setting foot on the field against Weber State was a victory for Herzlich, who defeated Ewing's Sarcoma cancer and then suffered a stress fracture in his foot. I should've included Herzlich on Saturday.
