The ACC has earned a reputation for ushering players into the NFL, as the league leads all conferences over the past three years in overall players chosen in the NFL draft with 115 and 25 first-round draft choices.

This year's Super Bowl is a reflection of the league's success at the next level. Both Pittsburgh and Arizona have numerous players on their rosters with ACC roots.

Here's a look at the former ACC players now with the Steelers, with the players having the most impact in bold:

  • Lawrence Timmons, linebacker, Florida State -- Timmons has 65 tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble and one interception this season. He sacked Joe Flacco once on Sunday, and made five tackles.
  • Patrick Bailey, linebacker, Duke -- Named the Steelers' Rookie of the Year after he made an immediate impact on special teams by securing 15 tackles in 11 regular season games this year.
  • Nick Eason, defensive end, Clemson
  • James Farrior, inside linebacker, Virginia -- Started 16 games, has 133 tackles, 3.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
  • Keyaron Fox, linebacker, Georgia Tech
  • Bryant McFadden, cornerback, FSU -- Started eight games and enters the Super Bowl with 41 tackles and two interceptions.
  • Heath Miller, tight end, Virginia -- In keeping with the tight end tradition, Miller has been an impact player with 14 starts and three touchdowns. He had three receptions for 62 yards in the 23-14 win over the Ravens.
  • Willie Parker, running back, North Carolina -- Fast Willie Parker hasn't gone very far or very fast lately. He had 24 carries for 47 yards against Baltimore and has 791 yards and five touchdowns this season.
  • Jeff Reed, kicker, UNC -- He was 2-for-2 on his field goal attempts on Sunday and has made 87.1 percent this season.
  • Orpheus Roye, defensive end, FSU
  • Greg Warren, long snapper, UNC (on injured reserve list)
