Here are a few quick weekend updates from ESPN's Scouts Inc. and Tom Luginbill:

Clemson loses another recruit to rival South Carolina

South Carolina has landed a fifth former Clemson commit in its 2009 recruiting class as defensive lineman Leon Mackey has decommitted from the Tigers and committed to the Gamecocks, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.

Mackey joins ESPNU150 safeties DaMario Jeffery and Chris Payne (Columbia, S.C./Columbia), running back Ben Axon (Bradenton, Fla./Manatee) and Under Armour All-American safety Devonte Holloman (Rock Hill, S.C./South Pointe) among the former Tigers that are now Gamecocks.

Athlete /dual-threat quarterback / running back Dontae Aycock of Chamberlain (Tampa, Fla.) is committed to Georgia Tech, Chamberlain assistant coach Brian Turner told The Tampa Tribune.

Turner said Aycock, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound prospect, secretly pledged to the Yellow Jackets three weeks ago. Aycock will officially announce his final decision between Georgia Tech and Auburn on National Signing Day. He has more than 30 offers, including Louisville, South Carolina, Illinois, West Virginia, Mississippi, Duke and New Mexico.

As a senior, Aycock passed for 1,491 yards and 17 touchdowns, and rushed for 1,406 yards and 28 scores.
