Former Miami assistant coach Art Kehoe, who was part of the program for all five national titles, has been hired to coach the offensive line, the school announced on Monday.
Kehoe, a 1982 graduate of Miami, began his coaching career in 1981 as a student assistant at Miami. He came to Miami in 1979 as a transfer from Laney Junior College in Oakland, Calif., and started at guard for the Hurricanes for two seasons under head coach Howard Schnellenberger.
Kehoe's tenure of 27 years at Miami ranks among the longest of any Miami athletics figure, a span during which he has either played or coached for five head football coaches. He comes to Miami from the UFL, where he was coaching the offensive line for the California Redwoods.
