'The 5th Quarter' movie opens today

The inspirational movie "The 5th Quarter," based on the true story out of Wake Forest's program, opens today in a nationwide release. The movie is the story of the Abbate family, whose son Luke died in a car accident, and Luke's brother, Jon Abbate, who helped inspire the Deacs to their surprise run at the ACC title in 2006.

"It's a family movie and it's a sports movie that looks at how this heroic season at Wake Forest was largely inspired by the son wearing the jersey of his brother," actor Aidan Quinn told ESPN.com's Lynn Hoppes. "It inspired the family first and foremost. And then the community and team. And then the nation."

I watched the trailer and it definitely looks like one ACC fans will not only enjoy, but appreciate knowing the history of that special season for the Deacs.
