Here's the flip side of South Carolina's sports information department survey of FBS schools to find out which teams in the country had the fewest seniors on their roster. UTEP's sports information department made a list of the programs with the most seniors on their roster, and only one ACC school was represented -- Wake Forest:

(Thanks to Virginia sports information director Jim Daves for sharing this info.)

Navy -- 32
Troy -- 31
East Carolina -- 28
Kansas State -- 28
San Jose State -- 28
Syracuse -- 25
UTEP -- 25
Arizona State -- 24
Army -- 24
Wake Forest -- 24

This is yet another reason why Wake Forest should be taken seriously as a darkhorse candidate for the ACC this fall. Much has been made (including here in the blogosphere) about the Deacs' numerous losses on the defensive side, but again, this is a year when Jim Grobe's redshirting is going to pay off.

Offensively, Wake has everything it needs to be successful, if not have one of the most productive offenses in the conference this season. Defensively, it's a matter of game experience, but they've got everything they need up front on the defensive line. With this much senior leadership to count on, it would be wise not to count Wake out.
