Miami isn't the only team that won't be full strength on Labor Day.
Maryland coach Randy Edsall said running back D.J. Adams, who is usually No. 2 on the depth chart and was the team's third-leading rusher last year, is suspended for the opener for a violation of team rules along with reserve offensive lineman Cody Blue.
"D.J. won't be playing in the game against Miami," Edsall said on Wednesday's ACC teleconference. "He and Cody Blue, we had a team situation that took place. There was a team issue that was involved and those two guys will not be available to play against Miami. That's behind us, and once the Miami game is over, then we move forward."
Adams had an impressive freshman year, setting a single-season school record for rushing touchdowns as the team's short-yardage specialist. He finished 2010 ranked third on the team in rushes (67) and rushing yards (239), and had a team-high 11 rushing touchdowns -- a school freshman record and the most by a Terps running back since 2007.
