Score one for the ACC.
Clemson rallied to beat Auburn, 38-24, and give the ACC its first win over a ranked opponent this weekend. Clemson ended Auburn's 17-game winning streak, and -- most importantly -- started its own daunting three-game stretch with a win. Clemson's offense was clicking behind quarterback Tajh Boyd, and the Tigers scored on five of six possessions at one point and gained 624 yards -- its most ever against an SEC opponent.
There's no question Clemson will be watching Florida State's game with interest tonight, as the Noles are up next on Clemson's schedule. Considering Clemson's offensive output against the Tigers, this game could be even more interesting, especially if FSU comes out with a win tonight. Keep in perspective, though, that this is not the same Auburn team that won the national title last year. It's not as good. That devalues Clemson's win a bit nationally, but the ACC will certainly take it.
