Considering the best performances came against the weakest opponents, it’s not like there was much to choose from here. I’ll be handing out five helmet stickers every Saturday night -– just five, so it’s got to be a truly worthy performance. And there simply weren’t many of them in Week 1 when it mattered most. Even star Clemson receiver Jacoby Ford dropped two wide open passes. That doesn’t take away from the guys who did do their jobs, though. Here are this week’s Helmet Stickers with one spot reserved for the Miami/Florida State game:

Josh Nesbitt, QB, Georgia Tech: He rushed for two fewer yards (93) than Jonathan Dwyer, AND he added one touchdown rushing, one passing, and completed 6 of 11 passes for 141 yards in the Jackets’ 37-17 win over Jacksonville State.

Shaun Draughn, TB, UNC: He rushed for 118 of the Tar Heels’ 260 rushing yards, and he did it on 20 carries. The running game was the highlight in the Heels’ 40-6 win over The Citadel.

Montel Harris, RB, BC: Harris rushed for 104 yards and three touchdowns -- two rushing and one receiving -– in the Eagles’ 54-0 romp of Northeastern.

Kyle Parker, QB, Clemson: He became the first freshman quarterback to start a season opener for Clemson since 1945. He finished 9 of 20 passing with 159 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
