Miami quarterback Jacory Harris caught the nation's attention on Monday night with his poise and production, as he threw for more yards against Florida State than any other Miami quarterback in history. The researchers in ESPN's Stats & Information department took a closer look at his performance and did a great job of breaking it down for us.

The following information was provided by them:

Harris was 7-for-9 with 122 yards after returning from a vicious fourth-quarter hit that left him feeling numbness in some of his fingers. Of those seven completions, three were on third down, and each gave Miami a much-needed first down. Throughout the game, Harris showed the ability to throw the ball deep effectively, especially when throwing more than 30 yards downfield.

Other Harris numbers:
  • Harris was 6-9 with 170 yards after a play action.
  • Harris really worked the left side of the field, and struggled to the right.
