A few interesting numbers for you heading into Saturday's Dr Pepper ACC championship game:

2nd - Saturday will actually be the second time that Clemson and Virginia Tech have met in Charlotte. The two teams began their series in the Queen City in 1900. Clemson emerged with a 12-5 win and leads the series 18-12-1.

14 -Virginia Tech has won 14 straight ACC games played in North Carolina; that’s the second-longest streak of its kind. The record for consecutive ACC victories in the Old North State is held by none other than Duke in the league’s earliest days: 1953-57. The Blue Devils won their first 16 such contests.

21 -The number of years since Clemson has won an ACC title. The Tigers, who have won or tied for more ACC football titles than any other school (13), have not won one since 1991.

30 - The number of rushing yards which Virginia Tech’s defense limited Virginia in last week’s 38-0 win. Virginia Tech is ranked ninth nationally in defense against the run, allowing an average of just 98.67 yards per game.

63 -The number of yards needed by Clemson running back Andre Ellington to top the 1,000-yard rushing mark this season. Ellington enters his final two games of the year with 937 rushing yards and ranks fourth in the ACC in rushing (85.2).

243 - Since the start of the ACC in 1953, Clemson has won 243 ACC football games. That is the most of any league team.

251 -Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer has a total of 251 coaching victories in his career and now leads all active NCAA FBS head coaches. Beamer has moved past Lou Holtz for eighth on the NCAA’s career FBS list. This season alone, Beamer has reached the 250 career win milestone as well as the 200-win mark at one school.

.609- The winning percentage for Clemson coach Dabo Swinney, now in his fourth season. Swinney, who has an overall 28-18 record (.609) is even better in ACC play, posting a 19-11 mark (.633)
