BC's Kuechly wins Butkus Award

Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly has won this year's Butkus Award, which is give to the nation's most outstanding linebacker, and there's no question he has earned the distinction of the best linebacker in the country during his three-year career.

Legendary Chicago Bears linebacker Dick Butkus, the namesake of the award, made a surprise visit to BC's end-of-the-year banquet to present Kuechly with the award. Kuechly was also named the ACC's Defensive Player of the Year last week. Kuechly averaged 15.92 tackles per game for BC. Congrats to Kuechly, who has represented the ACC well.
