Here's a quick update on ACC recruiting from the guys at ESPN's Scouts Inc.:
ESPNU 150 defensive lineman Brandon Willis selects Tennessee
Four-star Brandon Willis (Duncan, S.C./Byrnes) has committed to sign with Tennessee over Florida State, North Carolina, California and UCLA, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.
His teammate, Under Armour All-American defensive end Corey Miller, previously committed to Florida State, has also picked Tennessee.
"Yes I committed to Tennessee about 10 minutes ago. Corey and I just got home and we both decided on Tennessee. Corey told me he had a great time there and decided on Tennessee."
Several other programs including South Carolina, Clemson, Alabama, Notre Dame, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Auburn and Wake Forest also offered Willis.
As a junior, he was named to the AP All-State team after recording 114 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and 13 sacks.
Defensive end Corey Miller drops Seminoles in favor of VolunteersUnder Armour All-American Corey Miller (Duncan, S.C./Byrnes) has decommitted from Florida State for Tennessee, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.
North Carolina, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, LSU, Miami-FL, Texas A&M, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, California, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Auburn and Maryland are among the other schools to offer Miller.
ESPN's Craig Haubert added: "Byrnes' 2009 roster features three prospects in the top 100 of the ESPNU 150 and two of those just committed to Tennessee. Promising defensive line prospects Corey Miller and Brandon Willis have apparently decided to play together in Rocky Top and this should make Vols fans very happy."
"Willis the nation's 53rd ranked prospect is projected as a defensive tackle though he could play end for the Vols. He has good size and should be able to add additional bulk. He is a pretty savvy player in the trenches who uses his hands well and is able to take on and shed from blockers and is active along the line of scrimmage. Though he could use some more bulk he may be the most ready to play of the Vols new pair of defenders."
"While Willis is big, Miller may be even a bigger get, because he was already committed to Florida State and Tennessee was able to lure him away. The high energy end arguably has the most upside of the talented trio at Byrnes and in time could develop into a monster in Knoxville."
"It was a rough weekend for Tennessee with the tough loss to UCLA and things could get even worse with Florida on deck, but at least Vols fans can feel good that the future just got a little brighter today."
Last fall he registered 113 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, eight sacks and two forced fumbles earning second team all-state recognition.
Seminoles offer defensive tackle Kenneth KirkseyThree-star prospect Kenneth Kirksey (Daytona Beach, Fla./Mainland) has received a scholarship offer from Florida State, ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com reports.

State, West Virginia, Penn State and East Carolina, ESPN affiliate Web site InsideMDSports.com reports.
