Canes add another early enrollee

Defensive end Dwayne Hoilett has enrolled early at Miami and has begun classes for the spring semester, according to the school.

While at Vero Beach High School, Hoilett made 52 stops, seven sacks and also had a fumble recovery during his senior season. As a junior playing behind three college-bound linemen, Hoilett had 34 tackles and three sacks in eight games.

Hoilett joins seven other early enrollees in Gray Crow, Preston Dewey, Ereck Flowers, Taylor Gadbois, Ladarius Gunter, Raphael Kirby and Josh Witt. All eight rookies will participate in spring practices beginning March 3.
