Florida State secured commitments from three Class of 2013 prospects during its junior day last weekend, but the buzz surrounded the player who won't suit up for the Seminoles until three years from now.
Derwin James, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound safety from Auburndale (Fla.) High, committed to the Seminoles after talking in the coaches' office with head coach Jimbo Fisher and assistants Mark Stoops and Odell Haggins.
"They had a chance to look at my film and wanted to see me in person," James said. "I was overwhelmed by the whole situation. It was like a dream."
James is cousins with current FSU players Karlos and Vince Williams, along with Miami running back Mike James.
