David Hale and Corey Dowlar write: FSU coach Jimbo Fisher banned players from Twitter recently, but several posted on Facebook about Greg Reid’s dismissal from FSU. While Reid had changed his mindset, several said, his recent arrest proved too much to overcome.

Hale: The Seminoles boast deep talent, albeit mostly younger players, and with a soft early schedule should be able to find replacements for Reid at cornerback and kick returner.

Hale: Quarterback EJ Manuel, who could earn a place in the NFL draft’s first round with a strong season or in its late rounds with a weak season, is today’s subject of NoleNation’s Carrying the Spear series of player profiles.
