Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich recently spoke about his battle with Ewing's Sarcoma cancer on the Scott Van Pelt Show, and said he has been told by doctors the "cancer is completely gone," and that he is "cancer free."
This is fantastic news for Herzlich, his family, the Boston College Eagles and everyone who has followed Herzlich's career and his story. To anyone who has watched him play or spoken to him, though, this isn't a surprise. He's a strong, determined player and person who wasn't about to relent against his biggest opponent. ESPN's College GameDay crew will honor Herzlich this weekend when the Eagles host Florida State on Saturday.
Boston College is asking fans to “Gold Out” Florida State and at the same time, show its unity in the fight against cancer.
