Duke starting defensive end Justin Foxx had surgery Tuesday to repair a ruptured ligament in the ring finger of his right hand, the school announced on Thursday. There is no timetable for his return.
A starter in each of Duke’s first two games this season, Foxx had eight total tackles, 1.5 sacks and two quarterback pressures. He has a career 60 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 4.5 quarterback sacks, three quarterback pressures and one caused fumble in 24 games and 11 starts.
