Now that the football games are nearly over, many of you have turned your attention to recruiting. Heather updated us earlier this week on who is hot and who is not on the recruiting trail so far this year.
Well, our friends over at ESPN Recruiting Nation have another great post -- this one on the 12 best recruiters in the nation for the class of 2013. Two ACC assistants made the cut.
Deke Adams, North Carolina defensive line coach
James Coley, Florida State offensive coordinator/tight ends coach
None of this should come as much of a surprise. Right now, Florida State and North Carolina have the top two recruiting classes in the ACC, and both are ranked in the Top 15 in the nation. The Tar Heels already have commitments from 12 four-star players and two members of the ESPN 150. Adams reeled in one of them -- defensive tackle Greg Webb -- from New Jersey. He also had a hand in getting commitments from four-star Nazair Jones, along with defensive linemen Marquis Haynes, Dajaun Drennon and Monte Taylor.
Florida State, meanwhile, has 14 commitments from four-star players and five from the ESPN150. Coley has been instrumental in getting players from the South Florida area to play in Tallahassee. Corey Long writes keeping Coley on staff is a "key factor" for the Seminoles as they look to close strong.
