The Senior Bowl has selected its first ever All-Futures Team, featuring senior players selected based on their college careers and NFL potential.
The ACC is well represented. Here are the players from the league featured on the team:
QB: Mike Glennon, NC State
OT: Oday Aboushi, Virginia
OG: Jonathan Cooper, North Carolina
PK: Dustin Hopkins, Florida State
DE: Tank Carradine, Florida State
DT: Sylvester Williams, North Carolina
The only real surprise on this list is Glennon, who got the nod over USC quarterback Matt Barkley and West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith. ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper rates Glennon the No. 3 senior quarterback on the board, though he also says there is no guarantee that Barkley is the first quarterback drafted come April. Pretty incredible, considering Barkley decided to return to school for one more season.
It's also nice to see Carradine on the list, considering he will be unable to participate in the Senior Bowl because of a torn ACL. Many have wondered how much the injury will impact his draft status, but clearly the Senior Bowl officials think he has a bright future ahead of him.
