3 ACC players on FWAA Freshman team

Three ACC players -- Miami running back Duke Johnson, Florida State DB Ronald Darby, and Maryland WR Stefon Diggs -- have been named to the FWAA's Freshman All-America team.

This is great representation for the ACC, and all of these players were thrilling to watch this past season. Diggs and Johnson were battling for the ACC's Rookie of the Year Award all season, but Johnson won the award. Diggs finished No. 2 in the ACC in all-purpose yards (172.4) and Johnson No. 3 (171.7). Johnson was No. 1 in the ACC in kick return average (33), and Diggs No. 2 (28.5). Smart move by the FWAA's committee to find a way to get both Diggs and Johnson on the team, because there's no question they were both deserving and two of the country's most productive, electric freshmen in 2012.

Can't wait to see what these guys have in store for 2013.
