2012 postseason top 25 players: No. 10

We've made it to the top 10!

No. 10 Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State

2012 stats: Rhodes ended up with 10 passes defended -- seven breakups and three interceptions -- as he earned his place on the ACC coaches and media first-team. He also had 39 tackles and forced one fumble.

Previous ranking: No. 12

Making the case: Rhodes proved himself to be one of the top cover corners in the entire league, living up to preseason expectations with a solid junior season. He played a big role in helping shut down some of the top receivers the Noles faced this year -- Duke's Conner Vernon had his worst game of the season with three catches for 12 yards; Wake Forest receiver Michael Campanaro had his worst game of the year with two catches for 8 yards; and Boston College receiver Alex Amidon had one of his worst games of the year, with three catches for 44 yards.

After the Discover Orange Bowl win over Northern Illinois, Rhodes announced he would be skipping his senior season to enter the NFL draft. ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has Rhodes rated as the No. 2 cornerback available in the draft and projects him going in the first round.
