Every now and then there is a question in the mailbag worth singling out. Kris in Simsonville, S.C., had one this week, asking for a comparison of Clemson and Georgia against their common opponents from 2012.
Kris: I saw the discussion between you and the SEC blogger about CU and GA.
Both of you seem to forget about a common opponent they both have not beaten in the past three years. What are the stats for those all world QB's they have against this common opponent? Both of them have horrible defenses, GA was like 100 against the run and CU was the same against the pass.
HD: Kris: Actually, Georgia and Clemson had two common opponents in 2012: Georgia Tech and South Carolina. Both had similar results, beating Georgia Tech and losing to South Carolina. Here’s a look at how Tajh Boyd and Aaron Murray fared against common opponents last season.
Which quarterback would you want leading your team against South Carolina in 2013? Which one will have the better game on Aug. 31 in Death Valley? Cast your votes now.
