CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- It's not like the Cavaliers haven't been in a position to win this game. But they're just 1-of-3 inside the red zone through the first three quarters, and haven't been able to punch it in. Georgia Tech's defense deserves credit for that, but there have also been plenty of missed opportunities. Because of that, this game doesn't seem as close as the 20-9 score might indicate. Rashaad Reid laid a hit on Virginia receiver Kris Burd in the end zone that broke up what could have been a momentum-changing play. Virginia's defense was never the problem this season. This game is another example of what is, though the Jackets deserve credit for playing two straight games of better defense.
