Notre Dame holds off BC

Boston College has nothing to be ashamed about in this 20-16 loss to Notre Dame. The difference, though, was that BC had five turnovers and Notre Dame didn't have any. Quarterback Dave Shinskie threw three interceptions, and Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen didn't throw any and he's got Golden Tate to throw to. Even Shinskie, though, looked impressive at times, and the offense showed huge strides from its past two road performances. Notre Dame only had three more yards of total offense than the Eagles. BC's biggest problem tonight wasn't losing to Notre Dame, it was how well Clemson played in an upset of Miami. The Tigers will hold the tiebreaker over the Eagles if need be, and right now, Clemson looks capable of forcing that scenario.
