Carolina coaches teaming together for charity

NC State coach Dave Doeren, Duke coach David Cutcliffe, North Carolina coach Larry Fedora and Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe will team up and participate in the inaugural North Carolina Coaches for Charity event on Tuesday, July 23, at the Hilton North Raleigh/Midtown.

Fisher DeBerry, a North Carolina native and former head football coach of the U.S. Air Force Academy, is hosting the event through the Fisher DeBerry Foundation. Proceeds raised will be divided between the charities that the coaches choose to support.

“The state of North Carolina is blessed to have such wonderful football coaches,” said DeBerry, who also coached at Appalachian State, in a statement. “This will be a fun and meaningful night and a chance for football fans to mingle with all of the coaches. Getting all these coaches together in one room doesn’t happen very often.”
