This isn't what Georgia Tech was expecting -- tied at 28 at the half against a two-win Vanderbilt team. It's the first time Georgia Tech has been tied at the half with anyone under Paul Johnson, and of all the teams to do it against, it shouldn't be Vandy.

It's been a very disappointing season for the Commodores, but Georgia Tech is making Vandy look good tonight. The defense looks like it did in the weeks preceding the Virginia Tech game -- very friendly. Tech allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown for the second time this season (Mississippi State did it, too). Vandy's 88-yard touchdown drive in the first quarter tied for the longest drive Tech has allowed this season.

Johnson spoke this week about how it was a chance to represent the ACC against the SEC, and right now, the ACC's best team is barely holding it's own against the SEC's worst team. Vandy is the lone team left in the SEC without a conference win. Unless Georgia Tech's defense shows up in the second half, Vandy will snap a four-game losing streak tonight.
