Five programs stand out for junior Karlos Williams
Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List outside linebacker / safety Karlos Williams (Davenport, Fla./Ridge), younger brother of Florida State linebacker Vince Williams, revealed some of his early favorites for ESPN affiliate Web site DuckTerritory.com.
"I am very familiar with [Florida State]. I know most of the coaches really well. I'm very close to a lot of them. Coach Amato, Jimbo, Coley, Dawsey, they are all like uncles to me. They all usually fight over me at camps about practicing with their group and stuff. Plus with my brother there he gives me the inside scoop, so I always know what's really going on. FSU is like a second home to me."
Under Armour All-American Adrian Hubbard down to three
ESPNU 150 defensive end Adrian Hubbard (Norcross, Ga.) has narrowed his list to three schools following his official visit to South Carolina during the weekend, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.
The 6-foot-7, 230-pounder is down to the Gamecocks, Florida State and Alabama. He plans to visit Florida State officially next weekend and the Tide in the future as well.
In-state schools to battle for junior Lateek Townsend
Scouts Grade: 45
An in-state recruiting showdown appears to be in store for Class of 2011 linebacker Lateek Townsend (Bennettsville, S.C./Marlboro), ESPN affiliate Web site TheBigSpur.com reports.
"South Carolina and Clemson are my top two schools right now," Townsend said. "Clemson is still my leader, but I'm looking forward to watching the game (SC/Clem). That will have an impact on what I'm thinking, it won't make me think about committing or anything like that but it will give me an idea of both programs and it will have an impact on who is at the top and stuff like that."
