Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder had successful right shoulder surgery Friday afternoon, the school announced Friday.
“We expect he will have limited, non-contact participation in spring football,” director of sports medicine Randy Oravetz said in a prepared statement.
At the family’s request and in compliance with rights of privacy laws, the school did not release any additional information.
