This was the kind of game that -- knowing both Thaddeus Lewis and Riley Skinner -- you didn't want to see either of them lose.
They're two of the ACC's best quarterbacks, and they're two genuinely good people who are going to do well in whatever the future might hold for them. Both have taken their respective programs to new levels. But Skinner was the one who will finish his collegiate career on a winning note, as he lead the Deacs to a 45-34 win over Duke in both teams' final game of the season.
Skinner threw for 372 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. Lewis finished with 387 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. They were the stars of the game, as neither program will make it to a bowl game this year. Both players, though, will leave lasting impressions on their respective programs and have left their marks in the record books.
