FSU's Hudson wins ACC award

FSU guard Rodney Hudson received this year's Jacobs Blocking Trophy award from the ACC, which is given to the player voted the most outstanding blocker in the conference by a poll of the league’s head coaches and defensive coordinators.

Hudson has not allowed a sack or quarterback pressure this season and has graded out to 88 percent for the year including a couple of 97-percent grades, which FSU line coach Rick Trickett said were the highest of his 30-year career. Hudson had a streak of 31 consecutive starts broken by a knee injury against Wake Forest.

My take? He's one of the best in the country.

The ACC offensive rookie of the year, defensive rookie of the year, rookie of the year and coach of the year are expected to be announced on Tuesday.
