Week 7 predictions

Wake Forest 21, Clemson 17 -- Even without kicker Sam Swank, the Demon Deacons have the advantage, and it's up front. They'll be tasked with stopping the run and bringing the pass rush, two things the veteran defense has already proven capable of. The Tigers know they can't afford to turn the ball over.
Notre Dame 28, North Carolina 24 -- Both teams are almost mirror images of each other on paper, but Jimmy Clausen will be able to throw the ball effectively and Notre Dame's kicking game won't be exposed like Connecticut's was. North Carolina's ability to run the football is also struggling at 120.8 yards per game.
Virginia 24, East Carolina 23 -- Just a few weeks ago many would've scoffed at the notion the Cavaliers would even hang with the Pirates, but those within the program are confident the Maryland win wasn't a fluke. If they continue to play that way, it won't be.
Miami 31, Central Florida 21 -- This should be a good game, but only because so many of the players know each other and UCF is a well-coached football team. But the Knights have been struggling offensively with 282.4 total yards per game.
Georgia Tech 48, Gardner Webb 3 -- The Yellow Jackets should run right over this Big South opponent. The final score will depend upon how long Paul Johnson waits to call off the dogs. There's no question the younger players and everyone who can play will play.
