If there is one statistic that might help provide some separation in the league from here on out, turnovers could be it. One accomplishment that flew under the radar this past weekend was Miami's ability to get through all four quarters against Wake Forest without turning the ball over once.

"That's how you have to play against Wake Forest," coach Randy Shannon told reporters after the 16-10 win.

But the Deacs aren't the only ones with a tendency to create turnovers this year.

Four ACC teams -- Duke, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest -- all rank among the top 10 teams in the nation in turnover margin.

Georgia Tech has lost a league-high 14 fumbles this season, but leads the league with 22 turnovers gained. That could be a factor this weekend against Florida State. Duke actually leads the league in turnover margin but should be challenged by the Wake Forest defense on Saturday.

And the matchup between Clemson and Boston College will feature two teams that have consistently struggled this season with turnovers. Clemson is 106th in the nation in turnover margin and Boston College has given the ball away eight times in its past two games.

The one thing none of these teams wants to do is give away its shot at the ACC title.
