Georgia Tech offensive tackle Andrew Gardner could miss the rest of the season if he decides to have shoulder surgery for a partially torn labrum, a school spokesman said Monday.
It's a major decision for Gardner, who has NFL potential but has started every game of his career for 48 straight starts. He missed part of the Virginia game because of the injury and was questionable for Saturday's game against Florida State but played through it.
Gardner has been a major reason why the Yellow Jackets lead the ACC is rushing offense with 242.3 yards per game and is undoubtedly the leader of that offensive line.
